Project Summary:

PAGES is an abbreviation stands for Pastoralist Afar Girls Education Support project. PAGES’s project major objective is to contribute to the improvement of pastoralist girls' life chances in Afar through the implementation of integrated and gender sensitive education. The project focuses on primary education (Grades 1-8 and Alternative Basic Education levels 1-3). The project is being implemented in consortium and in collaboration with Save the Children International, Girls Hub of Nike Foundation, Care International, JaRCo Consulting Company and Afar Pastoral Development Association (APDA).

Kelem as part of the consortium has been implementing the project in Gewane and Gele’alo district of Afar regional state with £ 1,054,370.55 (GBP) or ETB Birr 33,739,857.6 fund from UK Aid (DFID) and has a total of 36 constriction and non construction intervention schools/sites.
