The project has been implemented across four primary areas: Kallu, Kutabar, Tehuledre, and Dessie Zuriya. Each of these areas has uniquely benefited from the distribution of resources and agricultural support, fundamentally enhancing the economic prospects of over hundreds farmers.
One of the primary components of the LCD project involves the distribution of sheep and goats, which provide participating farmers with valuable livestock that, can improve their agricultural productivity. This initiative not only bolsters food security within these communities but also fosters economic growth through increased sales of livestock and their by-products.
Another crucial aspect of the project is water resource management. The distribution of 37 water generators in one woreda has had a significant impact, benefiting approximately 669 individuals. Access to clean and reliable water sources are vital for improving health conditions and enabling agricultural activities. This initiative addresses essential needs and empowers communities to thrive in their environments.
In addition to livestock and water resources, the project also emphasizes agricultural diversification by distributing vegetable and fruit varieties suited to local climatic conditions.
