Mr. Abdulkerim Mussa Hassen is a highly accomplished professional with over 20 years of diverse experience in public health, project management, and organizational leadership. He holds an M.A. in Sociology, a BSc in Public Health Officer, and a BSc in Biology.
Currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at Kelem Ethiopia, local NGO since January 13, 2025, he has previously held key roles such as CEO of Silitie Development Association (SDA) local NGO, General Manager of the Ethiopian Diabetes Association (EDA) local NGO, and Project Coordinator for USAID-funded initiatives, including the MULU MARPs HIV Project at SEPDA local NGO and PMI-funded malaria programs at Health and Anti Malaria Association (HDMA) local NGO. He also served as a Coordinator for the UK funded Malaria Global Fund Project at Malaria Consortium international NGO and headed the Malaria and Vector-Borne Disease Department at the Siltie Zone Health Department. He has served as pertime lecturer in Refit Valley University, Central Health Science College, and Ethio International College.
With extensive experience in research, surveys, and training, he has contributed to studies on nutrition, malaria, HIV/AIDS, and WASH. He has shared his expertise internationally, participating in short term training and experience-sharing programs in Uganda, Rwanda, Mozambique, and Tanzania. A dedicated member of several professional associations, including the Ethiopian Public Health Association and the Ethiopian Sociologist Association, Ethiopia Red Cross Association and community development in Ethiopia.
